PPBI Incident Management Course--Rave Reviews PDF Print E-mail

Once again the PPBI Incident Management/Maturity Model course received rave reviews.  Approximately 75 attendees enjoyed our workshop, held on Sunday afternoon.

We updated the walk-through incident to give repeat attendees something different to consider, and the comments indicated our scenario was challenging, thought-provoking, and something to takeaway and use in exercises once they returned home. Without giving away the farm, the incident forced an immediate evacuation, hospitalization of several individuals, and denied our company the use of their headquarters building for up to 12 weeks.

TSO Approved Pocket Knife

We saw a lot of activity at the PPBI booth in San Diego at the Fall World 2011 conference.  We had a lot of old friends stop by to say hello and reacquaint themselves with us and our mission, and we had a lot of new visitors.

After our unique giveaways last year, especially the highly sought after TSA-approved pocket knives, our visitors were wondering what was in store this year.  We still had a lot of our flashlights to give to those who stopped by.

Booth Door Prize Winner

Among the prizes we awarded were some small, portable PC speakers.  One set was won by Paul Berquam from Siemens, shown here.

The other winners included Bonita Gohler from Franklin Templeton and Colleen Teears from Radian.

Bonita sent a quick note thanking PPBI for the surprise and said the speakers will come in handy!

Booth Door Prize Winner

Colleen was especially appreciative of the "Highly Coveted Business Continuity Prize" which she won at the last drawing of the day.  The prize, kept secret by the highly security-conscious PPBI board, consisted of a bottle of beer and a can of spam.

Congratulations to all our winners and thanks to all who stopped by our booth.
